Trusted insight to support social care teams

The Howz Assessment Report is the latest innovation in technology enabled proactive and preventative care.

It helps social care teams make faster, evidence-based decisions by turning Howz’s pattern of life analysis into clear written summaries.

The report gives professionals a fast and easy to read baseline they can enhance with their own knowledge and insight.

How it works

The Assessment Report is generated at the end of an assessment pathway for Howz. During the short term care assessment, which can last between two and eight weeks, the system records daily routines including when someone is sleeping, moving about, or using the bathroom or kitchen.

At the end of that period the report creates written sections covering sleep, movement, nutrition and bathroom use. It answers the practical questions that matter to care teams:

The report can be generated at the click of a button, with customised sections based on the areas of focus for that assessment.

Howz’s monitoring is underpinned by machine learning models developed with academic input from Lancaster University. These models are peer reviewed and published in the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society and have been clinically tested with NHS partners.

This scientific foundation means Howz can accurately identify daily patterns and flag meaningful changes in behaviour.

The Howz Assessment Report builds on that foundation. It uses AI to translate those verified insights into plain English summaries that are quick for professionals to read and use. It provides a fast and reliable baseline, allowing professionals to add their own judgement and make informed care recommendations.
