As part of the EDF Pulse competition, the finalists were invited to participate in Vivatechnology in Paris.  An exhibition displaying all the latest advances in technology including lots of start ups and young companies that are driving innovation across a range of sectors.  There were lots of robots moving around the place, people testing virtual reality, and some fantastics products to make our lives a bit easier or more fun!  We got the chance to pitch for 3 minutes as part of a segment called ‘Sparkshow”.  Journalists were on the platform with us and if they were interested in what you had to say they hit their buzzers!  Louise presented for Howz….in French!  Happily we got 3 buzzes and we will be following up with those journalists to learn more.  If you would like to view the slides follow these links Vivatech Howz Sparkshow French or Vivatech Howz Sparkshow English.

We had lots of visitors to the stand and it appears that French families struggle with caring duties just as we do in the UK.  We met people from a whole range of industries as well as members of the general public on the final day.  On the Friday night, EDF Pulse invited us to celebrate at the Molitor Hotel which is a renovation project around a swimming pool opened in 1929 and is now listed as an historical monument.  Have a look at our view that evening!  Thank you EDF Pulse!

As part of the EDF Pulse awards, there is a public vote so you could help us win!  We will be sharing details of how to vote shortly, so keep an eye on our blog posts and social media!

In the UK, work with EDF Energy and the Blue Lab is continuing at pace as we head into the second phase of our trial with them.  The trial is very exciting as we have already received positive feedback about the benefits of Howz.
